Data: Top MLB Competitive Facebook Analysis
As summer approaches, I’m incredibly excited for the warmer evenings, sans of course my hair looking like a lion’s mane of course; however, on these evenings I’m really excited for one thing — Nats games.
To be honest, I haven’t been to very many, but there is something absolutely essential about going to baseball games in the summer and Opening Day for Major League Baseball started on March 31st with a Sunday game.
While we haven’t had much of a spring in DC and with summer rapidly approaching, it only made sense for our first data wrangling Wednesday to give you some of the data we wrestled up. This Wednesday we gathered up some data from the boys of summer. From the teams with the tops fans to the top averages of likes per Facebook post, we highlighted the top 5 MLB teams for each of the categories. Did your favorite team make the cut?

Looking at the data we gathered from TrackMaven about the MLB teams on Facebook showed us how they aren’t striking out on this channel. With the extremely active pages packed with likes, visuals, and comments, the entire MLB is well-versed in the Facebook field.
