In TrackMaven, content published on any channel receives Public Interactions, which are essentially any public action that users can take on content, such as sharing a Facebook post, commenting on an Instagram photo, or liking a Tweet.
- Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram also provide a metric called "Engagement" which is essentially public interactions plus some private interactions, such as clicks.
- Facebook defines "Engagement" as all public interactions (reactions, comments, and shares) plus clicks on the post.
- Twitter defines "Engagement" as the total number of times a user interacted with a Tweet. Clicks anywhere on the Tweet, including Retweets, replies, follows, likes, links, cards, hashtags, embedded media, username, profile photo, or Tweet expansions are counted as engagements.
- Instagram defines "Engagement" as the total number of likes, comments, and saves on the post.
You can find Engagement totals for your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram content in Content & Campaigns by clicking into any individual post. Keep in mind, that data is only available for pages and handles that have been authenticated in TrackMaven, since it includes data not available to the public.
